Colliding Views

Colliding Views explores how perception is shaped by ambiguity, memory, and personal interpretation. Beginning in my own sense of the familiar, I transform ordinary environments—urban, rural, or coastal—into poetic spaces where memory, experience, and perception intertwine. Through in-camera overlays and intuitive experimentation, I invite chance and collision to expand meaning beyond the predictable, revealing how fleeting moments carry emotional and perceptual weight.

Each image becomes a dialogue between observation and memory. Tonal shifts, textures, and physical imperfections are part of the story, reminding us that a photograph is not merely documentation but an object with presence—a vessel for reflection. By making these interventions visible, the series exposes the constructed nature of seeing, and the multiplicity of meanings that perception allows. The work asks, as my broader practice does: do we see what is in front of us, or do we reconstruct it through memory, emotion, and experience?
