My creative inclination lies in capturing images that carry a semblance of familiarity. Borrowing the intrinsic beauty of a subject. But more and more I’ve been on a quest to render the familiar differently, offering viewers a new perspective on the world around them. This ongoing series began in early 2023 as an exploration that initially deconstructs a subject. Evaluating and breaking down the surrounding elements and then reconstructing them in camera. I enjoy how the collision of neighboring elements creates a final image that seems to cross over mediums. The tension and interchange of competing imagery generates additional qualities and even an extended sense of time to the moment.
